Karina Vieira is a Brooklyn-based ceramicist focusing on handbuilt vessels. 

Her work references various styles, touching on the pre-Hispanic, the Bauhaus and Art Deco, while diving into the contemporary. Her pieces often abandon their functionality, becoming a sculpture in their own right.

Celebrating the slight imperfections intrinsic to handmade, every piece is built individually, making room for variations and the uniqueness of craftsmanship.
